Labyris in Mahogany Ref:6704
Carved from a single piece of mahogany, this Labyris is delicate and beautifully made. The mirror-like finish on the blade contrasts abruptly with the rough-hewn shaft and base.
Approx height 170mm and width 100mm.

Sculptures from Anne Ferris

Individually hand made in paper clay: stoneware clay that is mixed with paper pulp. The pulp burns out on firing, leaving a textured surface. Oxides are then applied and the piece is returned to the kiln for a further high firing.
