Making A Purchase To make a purchase please browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping trolley. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

You do not have to create an account with us to place an order. You do not have to create an account with PayPal should you choose to pay by credit or debit card.

A few, clearly marked, items on our site are for sale only to persons over the age of eighteen. By placing an order for any of these items you are declaring yourself to be over the age of eighteen.

We accept payment by credit/debit card, Bank Transfer, cheque drawn on a British bank, postal order or PayPal. We do not accept International Money Orders or payment in any currency other than British Pounds Sterling.

Credit/debit card payments must be made online through our Payment Service Provider. Do not email or post your credit card information to us. Your invoice address must be the same address your credit card statement is sent to.

To pay by cheque or Postal Order: choose "UK Only: Pay by cheque, postal order or bank transfer." then post your payment to us. Ensure your payment arrives within 10 days of placing your order. If your payment takes longer than ten days to reach us we cannot guarantee availability of the items in your order.

To pay by Bank Transfer: place your order then, during the checkout process, choose "UK Only: Pay by cheque, postal order or bank transfer.". After completing your order make payment using these details (also supplied at the end of the checkout process):

Ensure your payment arrives within 10 days of placing your order and that it references your order number. If your payment takes longer than ten days to reach us we cannot guarantee availability of the items in your order.

Please note there is no minimum order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing or calculating shipping charges, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling The cost of shipping is calculated from the destination, the total weight of your order and method of despatch. A few, clearly marked items, include the cost of shipping to the UK only in their price. These items are sent by the method in the product description despite any choice you make at the checkout.

In all other cases you will choose the delivery method BEFORE you commit to any payment for your order but after you tell us the delivery address (we need to know the country to calculate postage choices).

Within the UK, depending on your order or the choice you make at checkout, we will send your order by first class post, special delivery or by parcel post. Maximum weight of an inland parcel is 20kg. You may also choose to collect in person from our warehouse in London, SE13 in which case you must pay by cash or cheque with guarantee card. We will email you with collection details when your parcel is ready for collection.

Delivery by First Class post does not include any compensation for loss or damage. Delivery by Special Delivery includes compensation for loss or damage up to a value of £500. If you choose Parcel Post, we send your order by Royal Mail Standard Parcel Post with compensation for loss or damage up to the value of £100.

If you purchase valuable items especially jewellery, then you must choose a method of delivery with adequate compensation. We will accept no responsibility for lost or damaged items regardless of value or destination but we will make available to you any documentation we have which you may need to persue a claim with the Royal Mail. (Certificate of posting and invoice showing value of item)

If a parcel is returned to us because the Post Office were unable to deliver, you have the choice of paying us to post it again or we will cancel the order and refund the price of the goods less a £5 restocking charge.

Overseas parcels are sent airmail using the International Signed For service. You can choose the level of maximum compensation for your parcel. Your claim will be with the Royal Mail should your parcel be lost or damaged in transit. Maximum weight of an overseas parcel is 2.0kg.

Delivery Schedule We will normally despatch your order within three business days (Monday to Friday) of receiving payment however we are away at present and will send your parcel after our return on Saturday, July 14th.

Depending on the method of delivery, you should receive your order in the UK between one and four working days later. Overseas delivery will take longer. Delivery times are provided by the carrier (Royal Mail), may exclude weekends and bank holidays, and may vary with package destination, particularly during peak periods.

Orders paid for by credit or debit card will be processed as soon as the card details have been authorised. We will wait for cheques to clear before despatching goods.

You will be notified by email if, for any reason, we are unable to keep to this schedule of despatching your order.
Back Orders We have stock monitoring software in place which will prevent orders being placed for out-of-stock items. If two orders are placed simultaneously there is a slight chance an order for an out-of stock item will be accepted by the software.

All orders are processed by real human beings who will let you know as soon as practicably possible of any conflicts.

If your item is not in stock, we will email you with expected delivery times and asking if you would rather wait, take a substitute for the item or cancel the order.
Tax Charges We are not VAT registered at present.

Overseas parcels may be liable for local taxes and/or import duty charges which are the sole resposibility of you, the customer.
Credit Card Security We take the issue of security and credit card fraud very seriously. When you reach the checkout and select 'pay by credit/debit card' as your payment option, control is passed to our fully PCI DSS Compliant Payment Service Provider, PayPal.

You do not have to open a PayPal account to pay by credit or debit card. There is a link on the payment page for people who do not have a PayPal account (near the bottom on the left hand side).

At no time do we possess or see your card details. We merely receive a notification from Paypal that your payment has been processed successfully.

We cannot take credit or debit card payments over the phone or by post.
Guarantee We make every endeavour to ensure that the goods we provide are suitable for their purpose. If you have any complaint, or if you decide on receiving your purchase that you just don't like it after all, we will refund your purchase price.

Privacy Policy Lavender Lifestyles do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. (This saves you having to type in your name and address etc every time.) You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet Options | Privacy' and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies.

Another cookie is set if you reached our site via a Google ad. We cannot identify you from this cookie, it is used solely to track the cost effectiveness of our advertising with Google.

Data collected by this site is used to:
a. Take and fulfill customer orders
b. Administer and enhance the site and service
c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

Email addressess submitted for the mailing list are not linked in any way to details entered on making a purchase. The only way to get on the mailing list is to email us with a specific request.

We have virus checking software on our own computers which is updated regularly (every four hours). A firewall program minimises the chances of data on our computers being accessed by hackers.
Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at

We make every endeavour to ensure that the goods we provide are suitable for their purpose. If you have any complaint, or if you decide on receiving your purchase that you just don't like it after all, we will refund your purchase price.

In accordance with the Distance Selling Directive, you have seven working days to return the rejected goods to us. You MUST send rejected goods back in undamaged condition within seven working days of receiving them.

Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.

It will help us improve our service if you can include a note explaining what you didn't like about the rejected product.

As soon as we receive the returned goods, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's normal postage charge--we cannot refund any priority, express or insurance component of the postage charge.
Remittance Terms We accept payment in British Pounds Sterling only. Overseas credit cards can be used but payment will be taken in British Pounds Sterling at the prevailing rate set by the credit card company. Payment must be made before goods are despatched.
